Our aim is to help people get out enjoying themselves on the water. We will help plan your adventure in our Canadian style 'open' canoes or on our Stand-Up Paddleboards, paddling either the River Trent or Trent & Mersey canal in rural Derbyshire
WELCOME
Let us know you're coming. Currently all paddles are to be pre-booked, preferably by e-mail. This will allow us to communicate current guidance relevant to your paddle at the time of booking.

Get on it! Aim to arrive 10 minutes early at our beautiful riverside base. Don't worry, there's ample free parking.

All equipment needed for your paddle will be provided, and we'll give a full safety briefing. We'll talk through your route with you and we'll cover paddle technique and guidance if needed.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How do I book my Adventure? Please email us at office@trentadventure.co.uk
How do I pay? Bank transfer or card payment (we'll give you the details when we reply to your email)
Can I bring alcohol? No. Save alcohol for a well earned drink after you are off the water. Please note, we do reserve the right to refuse a booking to people we believe to be under the influence of either alcohol or other substances.
What is the minimum age? - 8 years old on the river. - 6 years old on the canal. For 12 years old and under, we require a minimum of 1 adult per child.
What is your cancellation policy? We have a 48 hour cancellation policy, which means if you cancel within 48 hours of your booked start time, then unfortunately you will not be entitled to either a refund or a reschedule. We monitor the river conditions closely and if we have to cancel on safety grounds we will give you as much notice as possible and do our best to rebook your adventure.
What do I wear? First, check the weather forecast. Clothing that will dry quickly is best, not jeans! Layers are a good idea as you can adjust to the temperature. Spare clothes in your car just in case. Footwear; sturdy, old trainers, boots, water shoes but not flip flops, crocs or wellies.
What do I bring? A mobile phone, snacks, water, sun cream and a hat
How likely am I to fall in? We use flat bottomed and stable canoes, so capsize is unlikely, but obviously possible. Most of our adventures are unguided, so this is why all participants must be able to swim and also be confident in and around water.
What if it's raining on the day of my booking? We always monitor the weather and we would never go ahead if we felt conditions were unsafe. If it's raining, this does not stop the adventure from going ahead.
Are dogs allowed? Short answer, Yes (please always ask first) Not if this is your first canoe Adventure, or if you are in any doubt that your dog will be a distraction to you, or anyone else. We have a Dogs on Leads policy on our site and in the minibus.
